Standing on Christ as his ‘solid rock’, the faith-focused, messiah-motivated truth rapper, Da Mighty Rock, has stepped on the scene. Going back to his roots in Los Angeles, his music aims to highlight the trials and tribulations that face Black and Hispanic people on the West Coast of America; from gang violence to drugs and even domestic abuse.
Influenced by musical pioneers such as E40, the late Nipsey Hussle, and more modern rappers like Mack Dre, his records are sure to give you a rhythmic West Coast bounce, deep base, and revolutionary lyrics that relay the message of repentance and keeping God’s laws. From his first mixtape entitled Fire which debuted in 2017, and his 2020 record called “The Matrix”, Da Mighty Rock sets out to captivate the minds of his people and do it in a way that quenches their musical thirst.
His album Military Time embodies the message of warning for the nation, waking up our people, and saving the souls of the chosen. He says, “seeing myself as a soldier in the army of the Most High God, I have to put in that overtime and get results.”
