AREL
Arel is a southern rapper arising from the deep-rooted, soulful city of Memphis, Tennessee. He has cited several music icons that influenced his rap style, including Tupac Shakur, MJG, 8Ball, Yo Gotti as well as Master P. However, Arel credits his greatest music inspirations and creativity to the late ‘60s singer/songwriter and king of soul, Sam Cooke. He admires the story behind Sam’s life, and through Sam’s musical work, he learned that music itself could be great and have a broader significance beyond rap.
Possessing a remarkable rapping skill at an early age, Arel discovered his talent when he used to do rap battles with his friends. Those moments were one of many that defined Arel’s solid path to becoming the artist he is today. Now he is recognized by his secular recordings, such as ‘No Smoke’ and ‘Lord is my strength’, featuring Princess Carlissa Yahalom who also appeared on his 2019 album named ‘Ready or Not’. Making music for over 3 years, Arel has worked with various artists such as Sons of Thunder, Yochanon and Prince Urial to name a few.
Arel’s music is full of meaning and he continues to make it so profoundly that strikes through the ears of listeners, with the goal of transforming their minds one lyrical message at a time. His latest album to date, ‘Mercy’ was released in 2020 and he has plans to collaborate with other artists such as KDH and Amos.
