This is when the whole audience - those who've seen The Dark Crystal before watching Age of Resistance and Jen also has white streaks in his hair, indicating either vapran or grottan heritage as well. In The Dark Crystal, Jen & Kira are the two key figures, so it makes sense that the prequel would make some reveals about who they really are and where they come from.
