Ascending from the culturally diverse musical heritage of Atlanta, Georgia, is the admired finesse of Reuven who goes by Rue the Brew. Reuven has embraced an eclectic style of music influenced by hip-hop, pop, and ‘90s R&B. Drawing inspiration from notable artists such as Outkast, Andre 3000, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Fred Hammond, and Donnie McClurkin, Rueven’s style encompasses melodies that sway the heart and inspire the unrepented.
Having served eight years in the military, traveling the world, and experiencing different cultures, Reuven has witnessed ‘bodies going down soulless’ first-hand. Using these experiences, his music takes you on a journey that transcends modern-day theatrics and brings about an imminent revolution. He states, “I ask myself how I come up with that; but I know I’m not the one coming up with the lyrics or creating these arrangements, it’s the spirit of Christ working through me”.
Making his mark at Original Royalty Recordings, Reuven is on a journey to help gather the 12 tribes. He has written songs for Sha’ul and The Israelites, as well as received producer credit on a track for Sirach. However, the work doesn’t stop there. Rue the Brew is also featured on quite a few projects such as ‘Sons of God’, ‘Covenant with My Eyes’, and ‘Lead us out of Egypt’. This ‘Rhythm & Jews’ artist is always working behind the scenes on video editing and production. From his mouth to your ears, “it’s time for ministers of music to win back the hearts and minds of our people through this ministry”.
