From Dayton to Columbus this Ohio-born singer sang in a church choir and was coached by his mother around the age of 7. Yeremiah, was influenced by singers Kirk Franklin & Fred Hamlin for their artistic abilities, and producer Timbaland for his technical abilities. He started making beats around 14 years old and sang for people in & around his neighborhood. Ryan Leslie, The Ojays, Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire along with Anita Baker are just a few more artists that have had an indelible influence on Yeremiah because they made music that tapped into a listener’s emotions.
Yeremiah’s music genre is a hybrid of contemporary R&B, Funk, and Rap. This can be seen in Yeremiah Spoken Words, a previous album of his that talks about brotherly love, proving and fearing the Most High. His music is filled with parables and similitudes that would make it hard for anyone who hasn’t been “weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts” to understand. The desire to create a new sound that the world hasn’t heard is the driving force behind Yeremiah’s music career and one of the biggest goals he aims to accomplish.
Ultimately, he wants to help upcoming and newly repented artists by mentoring them and teaching them how to create music from start to finish. This includes recording, engineering, vocal work, and producing.
